shedding some layers and just being cozy while I roam the streets or bask in the sun. My standard uniform of wear for Spring-Summer would defiantly be a little bit like this one I put together: a lightweight coach’s jacket, a very unique flecked t-shirt, some tailored cotton shorts and almighty Nikes. Everything here is something my next paycheque might be funding.

As the sunshine rolls in, there are plenty of aspects to look forward to. The only thing more exciting than the sunny activities that come with the warm weather, is dressing for them. In the hot heat, it is important to remain practical while still looking spiffy. Some key items I hope to spruce up my wardrobe with this summer season are those of: a classic shirt with an innovative spin, a pair of lightweight shorts, and some quality assured sneakers topped off with a standard bucket hat. All of these garments have me saying I wish they made this for girls!

“The only real game, I think, in the world is baseball.” – Babe Ruth. I grew up in Anaheim, California, where I was raised as an Anaheim Angels fan, but when I moved here to Vancouver in the early 2000’s, my step-father, to whom I owe every little bit of baseball knowledge to, managed to sway me into becoming one of the biggest Toronto Blue Jays fan in the city, maybe even Canada. I’ve frequented many a ball park in the US and every city has an amazing fan base and also comes with it’s own unique set of fans. If you’ve never been to a ball game before and don’t want to be seen as the odd-man out, let me give you a few pointers.

This might be the epitome of #WardrobeFunctions, with the operative word being function. Nothing’s easier to put on than a monochrome snap cap, cotton button-up varsity, comfortable sweatpants and low-top perfed sneakers. These aren’t exactly eye-popping tones for Spring but for a lazy afternoon on any given day, they work infinitely.

Ain’t no theme to this week’s #WardrobeFunctions. No method to the radness. This is pretty much ideal daily wear for someone like me. Always into nice light outerwear, never without a t-shirt in the Spring, prefers black over indigo raw denim and forever on the run. Comfort, functionality and subtle detail is how I’m rolling as soon as the vernal equinox arrives.

My denim senses are tingling and I see a pleasant bleached out surprise happening this Spring in some great cuts. More and more brands have created their own (re)iterations of a washed out denim jean. As much as I like breaking in a pair of crispy indigo raws, the comfort of a washed jean in the spring-summertime is unmatched. Truthfully, it’s a little unorthodox and I’m probably an anomaly but I actually like bleached wash

They may be mundane, boring and uninteresting but the most beloved items in your wardrobe are likely your sweatshirts. They are the most versatile, most casual pieces of clothing a person could ever own and with that said, you can never own too many of them. Consider this your sweater season overload and once you stock up on these, you won’t have to think about something so mundane for another decade or so.

Happy holidays everyone! I know ’tis supposed to be a time for red and green, but that’s a terrible combo on any day other than Xmas. Scratch that, Christmas included. For some reason this season I’ve been getting into a funk searching for the right coat that is versatile enough for Canadian climates (unpredictable and all over the place). Here are five of my favourite outerwear options for the holidays from labels: Alpha Industries, Owner Operator, Saturdays NYC, Crescent Down Works and Engineered Garments. As you can tell I’ve got the blues, or more specifically, a hankering for navy. Don’t be alarmed though, most of these jackets are also available in multiple colours.
