Live Post: MJ Speaks on the “SuperFriends” – The LBJ Convo III

I know we should’ve posted part III right after the decision of King James heading to Miami. I think some of us were for it and most of us were against it. Honestly, I thought James would head else where after Wade re-signed with the Heat right after Bosh. I didn’t care if he headed back to the Cavs or start fresh with the Bulls. Look at the Celtics, they’re stacked, but Miami… it’s basically All-Star East.

Without a doubt Lebron will be a Legend, but the way I see it he won’t BE THAT Legend. Pick MJ for a sec, the most inspired player became a champion because he never gave up. He pushed his team to be the best and trained different players in seperate years as all-stars to earn those rings. The Black Mamba, a new era… Everyone thought Kobe’s rings were only earned because of Shaq, but the dude proved he also could push a team, training them as all-stars and win back-to-back championships with a new set of players. That’s Legendary.

Okay, I know what you’re thinking, MJ and Kobe had big men help (a little)… but Lebron to Wade?… OH, and Bosh?! Not even close for a comparison.

Ayo MJ, what do you think?

“There’s no way, with hindsight, I would’ve ever called up Larry, called up Magic and said, ‘Hey, look, let’s get together and play on one team,’ ” Jordan said after playing in a celebrity golf tournament in Nevada. “But that’s … things are different. I can’t say that’s a bad thing. It’s an opportunity these kids have today. In all honesty, I was trying to beat those guys.”

Michael Jordan may be the best player ever, but LeBron James might already be the better executive.

Wow, I’ve actually been waiting for someone like MJ to speak on this. He’s right, the game may be changing a little now and in all honesty I think next year’s gonna be nuts. For business, James did pull a sick move. It’s going to be the most watch season this year.

Henry Abbott of ESPN speaks on the good and the bad on MJ’s View.
