On June 26th, The Cheaper Show No. 9 was held in Gastown’s Storyeum. TeamHUE rounded up the troops and set off on a night of inspiration, visual captivation, fraternizing, blunts, and Heineken’s. But of course, above all, we came for the art.
The show from the get-go was on point. Very organized and well put together. Being as this was our first Cheaper Show, we had no other expectations besides viewing a collection of wicked art and meeting some cool people.

After the first walk around, it was obvious that a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th were going to be needed. The place was packed with people trying to get a close look at whatever caught their eyes.
Not only did us kids from ’87 roll through, but also some younguns from ’92 and ’93 followed suit. It was great giving these guys a chance to see an event that they might not have even known about. Regardless, we all had a great time taking in all the creative energy.
After our 4th walk through, we picked out some of our faves and had theHUE’s photographer, Elie Garcia, take some snaps.
