Admittedly, I stole this idea from The Score’s “Basketball Jones” podcast. One day one of their fans asked who they would induct into their “Hall of Very Good” – a collection of players who put up some numbers, may or may not have been an All-Star in their day, but wouldn’t necessarily make the real Hall of Fame. With Football over and done with, now we focus primarily on the NBA. All Star break is always a fun time. It sparks the two-week frenzy of trade talks before the deadline (which I love!) and weeds out the bad from the good and the good from the contenders. Superbowl Sunday 2013

This week we partake in a little role playing, acting as two of the most intriguing characters in this week’s matchup (Jim Harbaugh and Joe Flacco). In addition, we roll through our favorite story lines, prop bets and of course dish out our picks against the spread and the MVPs.

Tim Carmody of The Verge recently wrote a detailed and outstanding article on the Science of Doping in light of Lance Armstrong’s recent admittance to using PED’s and other illegally enhancing procedures. Wildcard Weekend Results: 3-1

Wildcard Weekend was anything but, the Texans game was a sleeper that led me to try my new WiiU during the second half; Joe Webb threw unfathomably worse than Christian Ponder; Ray Ray danced twice (once to Nelly?) and RGIII and Russell Wilson faced off in a playoff game that we can only hope was not their last. This week it would be difficult to find few who argue that these are not the best eight teams remaining, with a looming Peyton/Brady matchup and potential Packers/Seahawks rematch from the infamous Monday Nighter, let’s get to it!

NFL Wildcard Weekend

I would imagine for most North Americans, we get excited to not only ring in the New Year, but also because we know that the NFL playoffs begin right after. Wildcard Weekend has shaped up to be one of the most intriguing slates of games we’ve seen in a long time (except for the Jesus Tebow game last year). The boys and I wish everyone the best in 2013!
