You seldom hear about a street or sportswear brand nowadays that’s not pushing their own narcissistic ideologies or just plain, corny taglines on you. ‘Mount Pleasant Athletic Club‘ is that rare exception. The brand is based on a simplistic design approach that transcends casual wear between the spheres of work, play and training, all the while paying homage to the community that raised you. MPAC is the brainchild of co-founders Wayne Gonzales, Dennis Cruz & Carlo Brito, a trio of Vancouverites engaged in active lifestyles who intend to provide a classic conception of tasteful, timeless sportswear for before, during or after training. Thoughtful branding, understated aesthetics and focus on community involvement are just a few attributes that embody what Mount Pleasant Athletic Club is all about.

Conceived on the tennis courts of Mount Pleasant’s Robson Park just a short year ago, things are finally coming into fruition for the club. Its plan is to branch out into a full range of sportswear, not limited to only casual athletic gear.

Word has it that they will be designing a pair of limited release tees for some philanthropic pursuits in the Mt. Pleasant area, but until then their signature tees are available at Lark. Keep an eye out for the Spring-Summer collection set for February 2013.
