Nike and Levi’s, two of the biggest players in the fashion industry, have joined forces in a move to produce a high performance denim for the skateboarding world. Nike has offered their Dri-FIT and vectran technologies and have intertwined it with Levi’s popular 511 Skinny. With the technology from Nike and the craftsmanship of Levi’s, these 511 jeans will be a success.
The denim will be available in two versions along with multiple colours and washes. They will also offer a small assortment of other collaborative products including a denim trucker jacket and a series of Nike SB’s, the Omar LR and the Nike Pro Dunk Low.
The two brands also worked with Nike rider Omar Salazar to create a special edition of his signature shoe, the Omar Salazar LR. You can view Omar in the video below ripping it up in the 511 denim which will show you how the fit works.
The 511 Skateboarding is slated for a July 4th release at select global retailers in limited numbers.
